Reunited With The Father

Browse revisions I recall my mother reading Bible stories to my brother and me when we were young. Sometimes she would ask us which story we would like to hear. My brother, Darrin loved to hear about the prodigal son. This is found in Luke chapter 15… This parable is about a son who wanted his inheritance early, he wanted to live life to the fullest. Have the best of everything, wanted the joys of hard labor without the labor. But after he had used up all of his money he found himself in the pigpen and came to his senses and said that his father’s servants had it better off than he was, and so he headed back home – to find his father watching down the road for him. Ironically, my brother has lived out the life of the prodigal numerous times but always seems to find his way back to God. As for me, I loved to hear about the story of Joseph and his coat of many colors. This story is from Genesis Chapter 37. This is a story about a Father carefully making a coat for his favored son and this causing envy and jealousy among his brothers. I am a dreamer and in my craft studio, I make coats, quilts and other garments using a lot of various colors. I always loved the ending of both stories because both the prodigal son and Joseph were both reunited with their father.
