Be Not Terrified

“…Be not terrified: for these things must come to pass…”  Luke 21:9

The Lord is still in control, even in the election of Obama.  He has allowed, once again, for a vile man to rule an ungodly people.  Righteous rulers are set in place by the Lord as a blessing to obedient people and unrighteous rulers as a judgment against disobedient people…hopefully, to bring them to repentance.

“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.”  Proverbs 29:2  The recent results should only increase our faith; in fact, that everything is going wrong, just right!

As a nation, we have cross the Rubicon; that is, we have crossed the point of no return.  We are reaping, as a nation, what we have sown: the rule of men, instead of the rule of law, legalization of abortion, crimes against war crimes, crimes against humanity, condoning torture, homosexuality, prayer taken out of schools, a nation that has turned against God. All through Biblical history nations that turned their back on God, God let their enemies prevail.  Why should we be surprised?

For the Church of the living God…this is not a time to hide in fox holes, but rather to rally the church together and father a great harvest.  With what has occurred, and what is about to follow, we should recognize the opportunity to expose the unfruitful works of darkness and let our light shine.
“Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest , and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.  See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”  Ephesians 5: 11-16

The more evil the times, the more concentrated the effort of the church.  What occured in the elections and the consequences that follow will only ripen the fields for harvesting.

The King of kings, the Lord of lords, is coming.  May we be found laboring in the fields.
