Witnessing is a Must!!

Witnessing is a Must!!

Witnessing is a Must!!

I Timothy 4:12
“Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in a word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”

Young people, we can’t get by and make it to heaven by attending church, worshipping, and looking Holy only! But the Bible says that we are expected to be an EXAMPLE of the believers!
In WORD! We must be a witness! There is more to God then going to church and looking Holy. We must tell others about Jesus, about his powerful Holy Ghost. We need to invite people to church everywhere we go! Before God ever taught his disciples anything about wrong and right, he first told them they would be witnesses “Follow me and I will make you fishers of men”

Acts 1:8
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost comes upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

He said you SHALL BE WITNESSES unto me. He left no ifs, ands, or buts. But he made it clear that an expected fruit of having the Holy Ghost power is telling others about what you got! Because with the Holy Ghost comes joy! And when you are joyful about something, you will want to tell others about what gives you that joy! So if you have no desire to witness, that lets me know you don’t have joy in what you have, and it would make me question if you have anything!
The First thing Peter did after receiving the power was stand up and witness/preach the gospel to all those that were on the outside! We need people/young people to stand up in today’s world, pray until you got the joy back in your heart! And begin to tell everyone on the outside about the fire falling on the inside!

Jesus told the story of the three servants whom the master gave each a certain amount of talents. The three went out and two multiplied their talents. One hid his talent or simply just sat on what he had and did nothing with it! And the master rewarded those who multiplied/did something with what they had. But to the one who did nothing with the talent/gift given to him, the master cast him into outer darkness!

God expects us to use the gift he gave us! Acts 2:38 tells us that the Holy Ghost is a gift. But it’s not just for us, but to all that are afar off! He picked us up so that we would be labourers to go out and bring in the harvest! We need to go out and compel them to come in! We should shew forth his praises!

Matt 5:14-16
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

We are expected to let our light shine (not in there face telling them were right and they are wrong) but we are to shine it BEFORE all men! Show them the way! Let them see our good works that glorify our Father in heaven!
Not only should we all invite people every day! But we should be a witness to how we live our lives!
• Dress (Modest, Clean, Holy)
• Actions (Things we do or take part in)
• Attitude (Our reactions to things)
• Conversation (Careful with words we say or things we talk about)
• Personality (Must be careful to never be rude, stuck-up, self-righteous, or moody)
One of the biggest reasons why people don’t want church today is people who say they have the truth and real power of God with their lips, but deny it with their lifestyle!

Young people, DONT HIDE YOUR LIGHT! DONT SIT ON WHAT YOU HAVE! DONT THINK YOUR OKAY JUST BECAUSE YOU GO TO CHURCH AND SHOUT, BUT YET NEVER TELL ONE PERSON ABOUT GOD OR INVITE ONE PERSON TO CHURCH!
We must be an example! We must witness! God is not pleased when people sit on what they have and don’t share it with others. Time and again he commanded us to be a witness.

Luke 14:23
“And the Lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”
I firmly believe that just as important as it is to be separated from sin so that we can be saved, it’s just as important that we be a witness if we want to be saved!

James 4:17
“Therefore to him, that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.”
What can be more good then telling someone else how good God is and how he can save them?

I have made a personal commitment to not let a day go by that I am in the public and don’t invite at least one person to church! I wonder if those who read this could make the same type of commitment or one like it, that they will do their best to be a witness! Let’s stop keeping this to ourselves and let’s take it to the streets and compel them to come in and enjoy the liberty of the Holy Ghost!
