Have you ever went on a vacation and planned all of the places you would go, the route you would take and the places you would stay while on the trip? You want to make the best use of your time and money. You want to see as much as possible in the allotted time.
“Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. Deliver me from the oppression of man: so will I keep thy precepts.” Ps 119:133-134
We need to allow God to do the same for us. He knows where we are going and what it will take to get there. He also knows the dangers along the way. Following the Word of God and allowing it to be our guide will save us many disappointments on life’s journey. I guess we could say that God is our Tour Guide.
