”The Uproars in Our Lives”

Scripture Text: ‘’Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts’’. (Psalms 139:23 KJV)

The storms of life come upon us, and everyone will at some point in time experience them. We can rise above them by setting our minds and our faith toward the Lord. If we aren’t careful, the first words that come out of our mouths aren’t so pleasant.’’ I don’t know If I am going to make it or not’’! Lord, why is this happening to me,’’ I pay my tithes and my offerings, ‘’I am faithful to the church.’’ ‘’ I don’t gossip’’. The storms don’t have to triumph over us. We can allow the Lord’s power to lift us above them. The Lord makes it possible for us to ride the winds of the storms that bring sickness, tragedy, heartaches, failures, every day pressure, and frustrations in our lives. The Lord is good and His love for us endures forever.  The Lord allows heartaches, pain, and suffering to make us a better person. This shouldn’t make us become sour with the distress that these troubles can bring. We can become so bitter that the words that come out of our mouth are not so pleasant. We begin to snap at the next person to us.  We become tarnished and become exposed by all the bad effects that sin can be bring on a person. When we give our lives to the Lord, He will makes us a marvelous temple for Him. We will always have these types of troubles while we are living. In the Word of God it records, ‘’Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: save me for thy mercies’ sake’’ (Psalm 31:16 KJV) The Lord can and will change the conditions that we are in. If we hang onto a sour attitude, it will poison our thoughts. We have to start dealing with the problems and stop acting like we don’t have any. We can’t run from our problems; we have to face them. Keep in mind we are the only Bible some people read. Many people are watching us; they are ready for us to throw in the towel and give up. We can’t miss Heaven for anything; it’s not worth it.  You all stay encouraged and hang in there. The best is yet to come for you.
