”The Road to Emmaus”

The beatings and the pure humiliation Jesus went through just for us. Our minds can’t comprehend the love He had for all mankind. There were two men on their way to Emmaus. Jesus was walking beside them and asked them what they were talking about on their journey. Cleopas and another man didn’t distinguish who was walking and talking to them. They told the stranger that they were discussing what just happened to Jesus of Nazareth. These men were so saddened by what happened to Jesus. Evening time was drawing near, Cleopas and his friend inquired that the stranger joins them for their evening meal. In the Word of God it records, “And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.” (Luke 24:30 KJV)  Then Jesus vanished before their eyes, their eyes were opened to who the stranger was after all. This story should enlighten us that we could entertain a stranger that could be sent from God. People’s actions speak way louder than their words. What kind of child of God would I be if I didn’t show mercy and love to someone in need? We are the only Bible some people read. The Lord can and will straighten out all the rough edges, and past disappointments. If things aren’t just right in my life, I know it and if you’re around me any length of time you will notice that also. Different people think that we have to have the finer things in life to have a life of peace and tranquility. Don’t waste the precious time that the Lord has given us to be a witness to the lost and dying world. We have to train our minds to do what’s right. When we repeatedly do this it becomes so natural. We can’t think of ourselves in these times when people out of balance. I will guarantee you this one. When you put others first the Lord will fix it for you. Stay strong
