The Great Atonement

Prayers Changes Things

The Great Atonement

Without blood in our bodies, we couldn’t live. Blood is pumped through the body by the heart and a system of veins and arteries. Blood is a very important part of our being; it’s the fuel that ensures that oxygen will reach the cells in our bodies. The definition of oxygen is: a reactive element that is found in water, in most rocks and minerals, in numerous organic compounds, and as a colorless tasteless odorless diatomic gas constituting 21 percent of the atmosphere, that is capable of combining with all elements except the inert gases, that is active in physiological processes, and that is involved especially in combustion. (Merriam-Webster) The heart can’t continue to exist without the blood flowing to bring nourishment to the muscular walls. The blood also carries waste, carbon dioxide, and other waste materials to the kidneys, lungs, and the digestive system where it’s removed from the body. We couldn’t keep cool or warm, fight off infection, or get rid of the waste in our bodies without it. Take this moment to think about the blood we have in our bodies and the job it performs to help keep us living each day and then compare this to the one drop of blood that Jesus shed for us as the atonement for our sins. We owe Jesus our lives. I want to give back to Jesus for all He has done for me. He has blessed my life and spared me from so many things that could have happened. My prayer daily is to touch someone that’s hurting, help all those who ask of me, and most of all… make a difference in someone’s life. Stay Strong Friends!
