Oh my, it’s raining!

oh my its raining

As I was out on my morning jog and it was raining on me. I began to think of the following scriptures. Realizing how our present society has so much in common with the times and folks back then.  And like them, many of us are so callous and unconcerned so unaware of the times and the heartbreak of God?

Gen 6:5  And God saw that the evil of man was great on the earth, and every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the day long.

:6  And Jehovah repented that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved to His heart.

:7  And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

:8  But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

Gen 6:17  And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh,

Gen 7:12  And the rain was on the earth forty days and forty nights.

:22  All died in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land.

:23  And every living thing which was on the face of the earth was wiped away, from man to cattle, and to the creeping things, and the fowl of the heavens.  They were wiped off from the earth, and only Noah was left, and those who were with him in the ark.

Gen 8:1  And God remembered Noah.

REFLECTIONS: Anyone ever wondered as to why God chose to take the life of all creation inclusive of man, beast, and animals? Man indeed deserved the judgment of God. But why the rest of creation which was created for our benefit and blessing?

And innocent of our sinful behavior, perhaps God was saying or rather showing that the consequences of our behavior and sins are far more costly than we can imagine? Sin cost more than we can comprehend, affects more people than we know, and damages far beyond our recognition. And takes or demands more than we can afford.

But I NOTICE something else here as well, even in the midst of an ungodly, wicked, perverse, and rebellious people, God can still look out and see and find someone who can find GRACE in the sight of the Lord. Someone who refuses to bow to idolatry, REFUSES to serve sin rather than the SON.

And how about this one in the midst of such wickedness, such idolatry, such perversion. The bible said God remembered Noah.

Anyone ever thought on oh how God’s heart and memory must be grieved with man’s sinful lifestyle. But hey there is still SOMEONE God can REMEMBER! Remember with fondness, with desire, with love, with admiration! Could that be you?
