Let’s Make a Deal

As a parent I remember times when my children would disobey and the knew I was going to correct them. Often they would, in desperation say, “Daddy, I promise I will be good, please don’t spank me!” They would proceed to make all the promises in the world of what they would do right.

“I cried with my whole heart; hear me, O LORD: I will keep thy statutes. I cried unto thee; save me, and I shall keep thy testimonies.” Ps 119:145-146

I have caught my self doing the same things with God. God, if you will answer this prayer I will pay my tithes, go to Church more, pray more or just be good! HELP ME GOD! How much simpler is it to just do what is right and when problems come to already have a good relationship with God. I don’t have to introduce myself with promises, He already knows me. It doesn’t have to be “Let’s Make a Deal!”

Just a thought! God Bless…
