Good morning! What a great day to praise the Lord!
Have you ever paid attention to trees that survive the storms? The old oak tree that has withstood the storms of decades. It is there when the storm comes and there when it goes. In fact, it seems to thrive because of the storm.
“And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.” Ps 1:3-4
So is the man who has delighted himself in the Word of God. He has allowed the strength of the Word to feed and nourish him. He has anchored himself in the Word. When the storm comes, he draws strength and stability from the Word. In fact, with each storm he seems to become stronger and healthier. He is like the old oak tree…he is anchored in the Word!
