Fit for the Pew?

Today’s Bible Reading:  Acts 7 – 13

Scriptures that stood out to me:

Acts 13:42  “And when the Jews were gone of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath.”

Acts 13:44  “And the next Sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.”  (notice the number of people)

Acts  13:48  “And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.”

1.  They were hungry to receive the Word of the Lord.

2. They came together waiting to receive

3. They DID receive

“Fit for the Pew?”

Some churches and members it seems only opens its doors and hearts to those they see “fit” for the Kingdom of God.  They don’t believe that everyone on the streets is God/Heaven worthy.

Sometimes, some church members will even grow angry and want to disown

the members who do try to reach for these unclean people.

But Jesus wants us to reach them.

God has put a hunger in their hearts!  God would not put a hunger there if He didn’t want them to seek and receive His Forgiveness and the Blessing that come from knowing and living for God.

It is not our job to look for the perfect person/Christian to sit in our pews.

No, our job is to just to go out into the world and Preach and Live the Word of God for all who will hear, believe and receive it.

Those who God has been dealing with will come forth to receive His Forgiveness.

It isn’t up to us to choose who is saved or not.  So many people would be lost if that was the case… most likely you and I would not have been chosen to sit on the pew either.

Preach and Live the Word of God before ALL MEN!

Let God lead them unto Salvation!

Then PRAISE GOD with all your Heart and Soul over

EVERYONE

That our Lord brings into our church.

my prayer:

In Jesus Name help us to see with your eyes.  Help us to trust you.  Help us to break down any walls that we may have built up around our hearts to keep the pain out.  By building walls out of fear, we have left no place or room to let the Love flow OUT into a dying world that is seeking what we have been blessed with.

Help us, Jesus, Just to Simply Trust You!  A Simple Pure Trust In You!

In Jesus Name Amen.

Please note:
The above just came to me as I was doing my daily reading.  I’ve seen the above happen many times.
People judging others, and it hurts.
I did not write this to offend anyone,
as I love the Church!
