God Is In Control

King Rehoboam was the son of King Solomon and the grandson of King David. King Rehoboam’s son, Abijam, took the seat of supreme ruler over the land of Judah after his father’s death. Abijam was referred to as Abijah. Abijam was the fourth King in the House of David.

Abijam went to great lengths but with a lack of the experience to lead the Kingdom of Israel under his direct command.  In the Word of God it records ‘’And Abijah stood up upon mount Zemaraim, which is in mount Ephraim, and said, Hear me, thou Jeroboam, and all Israel;  Ought ye not to know that the LORD God of Israel gave the kingdom over Israel to David forever, even to him and to his sons by a covenant of salt?’’(II Chronicles 13:5 KJV)The battle of Zemaraim was one of the bloodiest wars between the  Northern and Southern territories of Israel.

No matter where we may live and work, God is in control of everything that comes our way. God knows exactly what we can take better than we do ourselves. “God wouldn’t let this happen to me”, “I am a good person; those things shouldn’t happen to me”.

It’s not by chance that we are born into a certain family that may be the richest people on this earth or the poorest paupers on the street or what country we have been born into. Our lives have been pre-planned by the master’s hand. In the Word of God, it teaches us that we are here for a purpose. When that purpose is finished, it will be time for us to leave this world by the way of the grave. What will you be remembered for? We preach our own funerals. While I am here, I want my days to count for something for the benefit of someone else. Stay Strong!
