Filling Up at the Lord’s Drive Thru

”Filling Up at the Lord’s Drive Thru”

After the beheading of John the Baptist the disciples went and they buried his body. The great crowd followed Jesus and his disciples. Jesus was moved with compassion, and he healed they are sick. It was already evening time; the place they were at was a very desert place. Jesus insisted for all the crowds of people to be fed. The disciples went through the crowds and found someone that had five loaves of bread, and two fishes. The disciples brought it to Jesus, and he insisted the crowds of people to sit down on the ground which was very grassy. Jesus looked into the Heavens, and blessed the food, and broke it, and gave it to his disciples to distribute among the five thousand men, which was not counting the women and children. Everyone had plenty to eat and there were twelve baskets of leftovers. My nieces Kayla, Lakin, Brittany, and Vanessa were four and five years of age. Every time a McDonald’s sign would be in view of my driving, they all would say out loud, ‘’ Please Lenny, Please Mc Donald’s!’’ They wanted to go to Mc Donald’s to eat- out, and mainly it was the playland and of course the Happy Meal toy. My oldest niece Kayla and my youngest Lakin are sisters, their order was always chicken nuggets and French fries, and my twin nieces Brittany and Vanessa would order a plain hamburger on a bun with ketchup only and French Fries. They were all happy and jolly with their little Happy Meals. If we’d asked a child this question, ‘’ what’s your favorite place to eat out? We would most likely hear the words that come from their mouths McDonald’s. McDonald’s restaurant is a very popular place to eat out. What’s makes McDonald’s so popular? Do you think their food is the best in the world?  The‘’ Super-size it’’ value meals, with a little extra change a meal to fit a hungry person’s appetite. Our walk with God takes effort every day to pray, read our bibles, and church attendance. When the trials, tests, and everyday pressures come our way we need the spiritual food to help us through. ‘’There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it’’ (1 Corinthians 10:13 KJV). Some way the Lord will see us through; Stay Encouraged!
