Are You The One?

miracle

Are you the one?   Or do I look for another?

Luke 7:19  And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?

20  When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another? 21  And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight.

( Isn’t that like him people can doubt him but he will keep on saving souls, keep on changing lives, keep on giving hope, keep making people whole )

22  Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and show John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached. 23  And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.

REFLECTIONS:

Who are you? What are you? What are you doing? what are you showing others?

Sobering questions huh?  What we do is as important as who we are.

Are you the one? Or do they look for another?

The one who threatens the kingdom of Satan, the one who walks in the power of the Holy Spirit, the one who demonstrates divine love! The one who moves mountains through the power of prayer, the one who casteth out demons through the power of Gods word.

Are you the one that a hurting soul has been waiting for?

The one a lost world has been waiting for hoping you would come to tell them of a love that never fails? Or do they look for another?

Are you the one the sick in hospitals are waiting for, for one who will tell them of a friend who will heal them and make them whole.

Are you the one? Or do they look for another?

Are you the one that someone in a failing marriage needs to tell them of a God who can revive romance, rekindle love and reconcile hearts. Or shall they look for another?

Are you the one a backslidden soul or lukewarm Church needs to set them on fire, to get them encouraged and motivated, to inspire and exhort them to greater vision and purpose or do they look for another?

Are you the one the pastor can count on?

The one God can count on? The one I can count on…

Hey, on the other hand, are you the one who heaven shuns? or hell fears.

Are you the one, who souls; fear to see your face, the one who brings gossip and slander to your Church.

The one who criticizes and condemns, the one who walks in flesh, the one who seldom reads or knows his bible? Jesus, I know but who are you? Are you the one who never cares, never prays. Never worships. Never sings or praises.

PRAYER:  Dear father, I thank you that You are God almighty, strong and mighty in battle, that you are my Lord, that you are busy on my behalf.

I thank God that you are the one! The one who saved me! The one who died for me! The one who cares, the one who prays for me, the one who is worthy, who is great, who is a comfort.

I prayed that you will help me to point others to you, to your divine love, to your hope, to your truth. I pray that I will not shun others but embrace them with the love of God.

That I will be available to others as you have been to me.

Let me to now that sharing Jesus means sharing my substance.

That sharing Jesus means showing him in my life and through my life.

Living him unto others.

That showing Jesus means showing his love and mercy to others.

That seeing his deliverance and power must first be seen in me, must first start in me.

Thank you, daddy … Oh, Daddy when I fail and refuse to show and demonstrate you to others please forgive me and remind me “ to whom much is given much is required”   oh and also remind me that I am the one too!    AMEN
