Good morning! I hope your Easter weekend was good and you were blessed.
A friend of mine, many years ago, had a light that was so powerful it was almost blinding if you looked into it. It was a spotlight with a great amount of candle power and everyone who saw how bright it was wanted to buy one just like it. They would ask where he bought it, how much it cost, did they have any more and how long did the light and batteries last. Everybody wanted one just like it.
“Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matt 5:15-16
Jesus has told us that we are the light of the world and now he is admonishing us to let our light shine to others. What caught my attention today was Jesus saying my light shining caused men to see how I live and it would bring Him glory. My life not only draws attention to God, it also draws attention to me and then my life brings glory to God. So the question that will be asked of me is, “Where did you get your light?”
