Content Guidelines
Guidelines
Updated: January 3, 2015
These guidelines cover your use of the Everyone’s Apostolic service
By registering with Everyone’s Apostolic, creating, or using this Social Network you are agreeing to these guidelines (“Guidelines”).
The vision of Everyone’s Apostolic (EA) is to provide a clean, modest and fun place for Apostolics to socially network. The apostles were oneness, Spirit-filled and Godly men. The culture we want to promote and foster is a fun, social, supportive, encouraging, informative, and Godly one. We also want the culture to be unified. For this reason we have resolved to the following guidelines regarding the content of EA. We pray that you understand our vision and will work to support it. Please understand that if a photo or video is rejected/deleted for a certain reason that we are not judging or condemning that person or their personal beliefs or convictions. We are only enforcing the below guidelines that we have prayed about and set forth. If for some reason, someone disagrees or does not want to share in this vision or culture, EA may not be for them and they should seek another forum or social network.
- Pictures
- We ask that all tops have a sleeve of some sort, not be too low cut or be see-through. We ask that everyone have on a skirt below the knee or pants, no shorts. We make allowances for children and may make allowances for wedding photos and special occasions. We also ask that any photos hinting at evil, vulgarity, or sexuality not be posted. We do realize that these are YOUR page decorations, we only ask for modesty and respect for others viewing them.
- Videos
- We ask that videos with Christian “rock or rap” not be posted along with videos where immodest photos will be shown. We also request that videos containing evil or demonic (story lines) not be posted. Please remove the referral videos that may be attached at the bottom of your video. They sometimes contain videos that are not in line with the EA culture. These requests pertain to 3rd party widgets that might be added to your profile as well.
- Groups
- Please do not duplicate groups. Please conduct yourselves as Apostolics – don’t create a group that is purposefully antagonistic, argumentative, bashes a particular group of people or a person or for the intent of causing harm to anyone. Do not create a group that has the purpose to advertise or promote a business without the expressed permission of Everyone’s Apostolic.
- Blogs
- Please conduct yourselves as Apostolics – don’t create a blog that is purposefully antagonistic, argumentative, bashes a particular group of people or a person or for the intent of causing harm to anyone. Do not create a blog that has the purpose to advertise or promote a business without the expressed permission of Everyone’s Apostolic.
- Chat
- Before one posts or replies to a discussion in the chat room please take care to review our guidelines so as to not risk having oneself removed from the site.
- ****Should Violations Occur**** and the chat room not be used in a positive manner, we will remove it from the site. It is not part of our plan to facilitate and monitor conversations in the chat room. Our effort is to facilitate networking among the saints. Should the chat room begin to degrade our efforts, we will remove as this is not part of our bigger vision for the EA site. We added the chat room as an additional benefit to the EA members.
- Why do we specify limitations? The primary reason for limiting discussions is to protect the culture of EA and the members that participate. In our experience, we have seen that chat rooms can degrade the network experience if let to be free and open to any and all conversation.
- Forums
- Before one posts or replies to a discussion please take care to review our guidelines so as to not risk having the discussion or oneself removed from the site.
- Everyone’s Apostolic is now the most trafficked site among Apostolics. We don’t say this boastfully, we say this with the understanding that we have a huge responsibility to facilitate unity. We have Apostolics ages 13 and older and at various stages in their walk with God. With this said, we take great care to provide an online culture that fosters spiritual growth and fellowship.
- The mission of Everyone’s Apostolic is to facilitate the need for us to connect with the body of Christ across the globe in such a way that brings us together in a spirit of unity and fellowship. We do this by sharing our lives with each other, the good and the bad. Everyone’s Apostolic helps facilitate this need by creating a viable channel of communication that anyone who has a computer and Internet can plug into.
- In order to protect the culture we ask that all members, without exclusion, follow these guidelines. Check back often, as we may make adjustments as we continue to develop the site.
- The guidelines are as follows:
- Discussions should be clearly titled, meaning the title should represent the theme or idea of the discussion.
- Check grammar and spelling before posting.
- Discussion summary should clearly identify the scope of the topic, limitations, and purpose.
- Discussion admin is responsible for keeping topic on point and removing comments that are not relevant to topic scope and purpose.
- Discussions are not to include the following topics:
- Doctrinal topics (these are a pastor’s responsibility)
- Holiness topics (these are a pastor’s responsibility)
- Christian rap, rock, and country (these are topics that are known to cause disagreements and are better left to the counsel of a pastor)
- Defaming any organization, group, ministry, or person(s) is not permitted.
- Discussions on demons and witchcraft are not permitted.
- Business opportunities
- Advertising
- Check back often as we may include more
- Discussions that ARE encouraged
- Testimonies of God’s grace
- Healing miracles
- Faith building topics
- Church growth
- Outreach ideas
- Spiritual development programs for saints
- God’s involvement in ones life
- Prayer requests
- Devotionals
We can see the idea here…positive topics and prayer requests.
The idea is not to stifle the forum but rather to move it in a positive and empowering direction.
