If you take away the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness, if you extend your soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul, then your LIGHT shall dawn in the darkness, and your darkness shall be as noonday. The Lord will CONTINUALLY guide you and satisfy your soul in drought and strengthen your bones you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. Isaiah 58:9b -11
The easiest way to personal, spiritual freedom is divesting ourselves of all our burdens, of all our bondages. In other words.. to get rid of them. It is like a student going to school, they pack a backpack full of stuff that they will need during the day, and carry that pack around all day long to try to meet their needs. Once they take that thing off, what a relief it is to them.
Men and women were not meant to carry burdens and bondage. It weighs their spirit down like a ton of bricks. Almost everyone you and I know is troubled. They long for someone to listen to all their problems, and they are hungry for help. Yet the very thing that could help, often seems a last resort.
We will never go to a different spiritual stage unless we get rid of our baggage. It is only when we are free we can be of service to Christ. We are not meant to carry burdens. And bondage becomes a chain to our spirit weighing us down with the cares of this world, and building roots in our spirit that corrupt it, and make it bitter and unhealthy.
Do you want to be free? Do you want to be free of depression and despair? Well, if you truly mean that, you have to take the steps to do it. It is a choice. And it takes work to stop it, but you can. You can be free. Jesus came to earth to set us free. But we must allow that help. We must reach out to Him.
The first step is admitting where we are wrong, and confessing those things to Jesus in prayer. We must repent of our sins, be baptized in Jesus name for remission of sins, and then we will receive the gift of the Holy Ghost . This is the way of salvation in acts 2:38. We must change, and walk away from sin,. and learn to walk in His path, not our fleshly short sighted path, but His glorious calling upon our life.
When Jesus comes into our life, and we are free from the cares and bondages of this world, we become full of light. It shines on our household, and blesses it, and it is a sermon to those around us, that life in Jesus is a victorious life, not the same life everyone else is living.
The Christian life, if truly surrendered, brings satisfaction. freedom, strength, and a wellspring of water within our spirit refreshing us. All this comes from time in prayer. Without prayer and the word of God.. you cannot survive as a Christian. You have to feed your spirit. This should come before everything else.
If you want to be free tonight. You alone are the one who can make the first step … decide you want it, go to the Jesus in prayer and obey Acts 2:38.
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (KJV)Acts 2:38.
My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him, He only is my rock and my salvation, He is my defense. I shall not be moved. Psalm 61:5-6
God can be your defense and your salvation, and your rock, and your hope, and your deliverer but you must go to Him and seek Him first thing each day and through out the day so that the world does not seep in your spirit and rob you of your joy and the truth that comes from the heart of God.
Seek ye the Lord while He may be found. Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him and to our God for He will ABUNDANTLY pardon. Isaiah 55:7
God loves you my friend. He is waiting for you right now. He is your hope and your rock. Run to His arms.
