Sight for Sore Eyes
When I was young I loved to spend time at my uncle’s house. They lived in the country and it was wonderful. We would drive home from town at night and someone would say, “See all of the deer?” I would look out into the dark fields and wonder where are they at? More often than not, no matter how hard I strained I couldn’t see them, but the others did and would count them.
“Mine eyes fail for thy salvation, and for the word of thy righteousness. Deal with thy servant according unto thy mercy, and teach me thy statutes.” Ps 119:123-124
I have found that to be the case, often, in my walk with God. I trust His Word. I stand on His Promises. Yet, although I strain to see, I can’t see the answer I so desperately seek! Yet others tell me it is there. His Word tells me it is there! His kept Promises from the past tell me it is there. As I wait I learn more about Him! The answer, when it comes is a Sight for Sore Eyes!
