Good morning! What a wonderful day to worship the Lord. I passed a policeman sitting by a school, this morning, insuring passing cars slowed down to the safe posted speed. One of the four year olds on the bus yelled, “A cop! A cop!” Another replied, “He is going to haul me off to jail!” Hearing the comments of these children I thought of how our mind often goes to the negative instead of the positive. Why wasn’t their first thought, and mine, thank you officer for providing safety for all of these students? “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.” Matt 5:17-18 The Jew looked at the Law as their enemy. They struggled with it constantly. Everyday they tried to keep the Law and everyday they failed in some way. Yet when the Messiah came on the scene He told them right away that He was not destroying the Law, He was going to complete the Law. Many folks look at God with terror, waiting for Him to punish them for wrong doing. Actually we should be looking to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. The one who is providing us the safety to live in a sinful world with out sinning. If we do, He is willing to forgive us and help us again. I guess we should say, The Law is Our Friend! Just a Thought! God Bless…
