Isaiah 40:29-31
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
He gives power to the faint!! Power to endure, the power to walk through the dry valley, power to think on good things, the power to encourage, the power to hold our heads up, the power to rebuke the devil’s lies, the power to remember His Word that lives in us! Power to still raise our hands in worship and praise, power to wait.
Power to stand, the power to fight, the power to hope. How wonderful is that — how full of wonder is that, that all of those promises of Power are living and breathing in our weakness! No wonder Paul said, if I am going to glory in anything, I will glory in my weakness. I think he knew all the Divine power that would surface when he, when we, reach that place of brokenness, emptiness, weakness in ourselves.
