Man that is born of a woman
Be Still, My Soul….Be still
In the midst of living life, you will encounter overwhelming trouble, drama or just day to day stress. Sometimes things get so bad that you don’t know which way to turn.
Job 14:1 Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.
All of us was born of a woman that is a given, but some of us think that we should not have trouble once we receive the Holy Ghost. But, that is not what the Word of God says. As long as we are in this fleshly body, we will have some days of trouble.
Trouble comes in different forms, some experience mental anguish, and some have financial problems. Other trouble markers can be children, health, and other relationships. Guilt, resentment, torment, hatred are all troubles of the heart and can cause deep affliction to the soul. Everyone has something that causes trouble in their life. There are times when life can even throw you a curveball. You may think you have overcome one obstacle and the next day…week… or month another one stands before you.
As Children of God we must ask ourselves if the Lord has already told us what life holds, then how do you handle life. Well…the Lord has given us a roadmap, and it’s in the Word. With every warning, there is an answer. With every answer, there is a step and with every step, there is a hand. He is here to guide us, to lead our footsteps, to comfort, to instruct, to shine a light when it is dark and to love us when we can not love ourselves.
“Be still my soul, be still…” These words were shared with me today, by my mother. And I haven’t been able to shake them. The Word of God talks about being still in several places.
Psalms 4:4
Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah
When you want to be as one with the Lord, your soul must be still. Commune with your heart…be still. We must tell our soul be quiet, listen…shhh…wait for His peace.
When those trials are raging He will lead you to the green pastures, He will lead you beside the quiet waters.
Psalms 23:2
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
