because everything god does for us is for our good. if we are only happy and have so good times then after some time... i think... we wouldn't appreciate what we have and we would become demanding and dissatisfied with everything.
after having a bad situation or hard time i always thank god.. because (first of all) he brought me through it.. and i can see things i never saw before (he opened my eyes in a certain things) .. and i also feel that something in my attitude has changed. so having such times as this brings many experience...
