  • .... All of the red letter words are links to click on (enjoy)!
  • Blessed to be born a 4th generation Pentecostal and raised in the UPCI. My parents are Bro. Keith and Sis. Nina (Chilton) Kelley and they attend Abundant Life - Pastor David Keller, Ft. Wayne, IN.
  • I have two brothers ( Darrin Kelley - 17 months older than I, and Tim Kelley - 8 years younger than I). I have 3 neices and 4 nephews and I am a great Aunt to 4. I have one living grandmother (Altha Ometa Southern Kelley age 94) who is a member of Hunters Creek Pentecostal Church.
  • My three fold cord of blessing consists of my daughters Marisa Anne named after her dad (Mark), and me (Lisa Anne) ..age 23 (married and living in Hutchinson KS) she is very involved in ministries at AFT,my uncle Rev. Carl Elder's church & her careers are school teacherand music instructor). Melissa Sharon (named after Sis. Sharon Urshan McKellar) age 20 (living at home, a fashion designer - and substitute teacher) and Melanie Clarissa (we put all of our names together for this daughter) age 19 and living in Pubelo Colorado and attending my cousin Rev. Paul Elder's church (her goal in life is to be a Missionary).
  • In 2007 our family (The New Dimension Family Band) recorded a CD - (GOD SAID YES) which I thank God that we were able to do this while all of the girls still lived at home.
  • In 2004 I made a pact to write 3 songs per day. I did this and along with approx. 1000 other lyrics and poems, that I had written over the previous 25 years - compiled them all into a two volume set (Lyrics and Poems: The Melody Of My Soul) which was published in 2006 through publishamerica.com and is available through any of the online bookstores including Booksmillion and Amazon, etc.
  • Some of the many hats that I wear include: Missionary/Teacher, Music Instructor, Educational Interpreter for the Deaf, Podcaster for HazelwoodUSA, Owner of PenTEENcostal Fashion and Design, and I homeschooled two of my three daughters at Five Star Academy ,etc.
  • My house is a series of studios aka Star Of Song Studios. We do not have an actual living room, as I converted it into my music studio/office/home missions church. We also have a Sewing/Craft Studio, Edwina Elder Library and a "Music Hall of Fame"/listening center.

  • My daughters and I are the owners/fashion designers for PenTEENcostal Fashion and Design. We have online stores at Ebay and Etsy and a boutique in a local flea market.
  • I try to make every day count for something. God has blessed me in so many ways, and so I try everyday to do something to bless others using the gifts and talents that God has bestowed on me - to bring God honor and glory.
  • My ABI Alumni husband of 25 years is Rev. T. Mark Peter. He is a very hard worker and good provider for our family. Not only does he work 40 hours each week at the Madison County Jail as a Deputy, he also owns his own M&L Trash Service - picking up garbage for customers who live outside of city trash pickup. And is a Travel Agent for World Ventures. Currently Mark teaches a Sunday School class but we are waiting on the will of God for perhaps more opportunities in the area of ministry. Sometimes we do have a home missions service for the family in our front room or go to shut-ins houses and take the gospel to them.
  • My In-laws are Larry and Bernice Peter - they attend the Pentecostals of Henderson (Rev. Chris Tharp). My Sister in Law is Johanna Jess and she attends the Pentecostals of Murfreesboro (Rev. Phil DePriest).
  • God and I have a game that we play each and every day. Some may say not to play games with God - but it isn't like that... it goes like this. Every day whether I be out for a walk, or in a parking lot or even around the house I find a coin - usually pennies, but sometimes other coins. And I never fail to pick it up and say "In God I Trust!" I take them as a sign from God that He knows about my financial situation and that He will provide my every need. A friend of mine tells me that they are 'angel pennies".. but whatever they are - I know that God puts them there for me to find.

  • And... last but not least - I have got to make it to Heaven and.... Above all else I want to hear God say "Well done My good and faithful servant!!"
Ministries I'm involved with:
Music, Deaf Ministry, Podcast, Internet, Nursing Home, Home Missions, Spanish Ministry (Jesucristo es lo mejor que me a pasado ami!), etc.

My first instrument was the accordion . I began playing it in church when I was 12 years old at Kings Highway Tabernacle in Terre Haute IN. I could barely see over the top of the thing (it was a man sized full bass). Then I had 10 free piano lessons from a conservatory of music when my parents purchased a piano . After the free lessons were over, my parents never continued the lessons. So I prayed and picked up playing the piano on my own. My grandfather - Loudye Chilton was a fine guitarist and fiddle player and so I was surrounded by music all of the time. My mother also played the accordion and piano. Later I began playing the organ at Apostolic Faith Tabernacle in Hutchinson KS and then at The Pentecostals Of Henderson, and now at Calvary Church Ministries in Jackson TN. I am pianist for Hopewell Missionary Church on Sunday mornings. I started playing chords on the guitar about 5 years ago, and still only know very few basic chords, but have began learning to also play via sheet music. I went to 9 years of violin lessons with my daughters and so I learned some through that, but recently I have began playing violin again. I also play the LAP dulcimer and Tennesse Music Box. And very little harmonica. I play mostly by ear and anointing but also have been learning to read notes. I love the Hal Leonard Fake Books. This allows me to learn basic sight reading while still playing left hand chords. I play piano and sing at nursing homes and retirement centers and Senior Centers five times a month. And generally sing at our community Bar-B-Que festival every year.

Past ministries/occupations include: Sunday School teacher, Secretary at Christian Life Academy, Assistant to the Music Minister of CLA, Volley Ball Score Keeper, Youth Leaders Wife for 13 years in Hutchinson Kansas, An alto in the West Tennessee Mass Choir, POH Sanctuary Choir, CCMC, Apostolic Faith Tabernacle Choir. Calvary Tabernacle Choir,KHT choir, Worked in Home Missions Church at New Life Tabernacle Ft. Wayne, Helped a local Store Front Church in Downtown Henderson (By The Masters Hand), Directed Children's Musicals and Puppet Ministries, Drama Ministry, Deaf Ministry. Orchestra, Bible Quizzing. Media ministry, Editor of newsletter. Evening Activities Director at Mennonite Friendship Manor , Paige at Hessel Cassel Branch Library in Ft. Wayne, L.D. Paraprofessional for USD 308, Taught Chapel at Apostolic Christian Academy, Involved in Ladies Ministry, World Network of Prayer, Daughters of Zion, Search For Truth Bible Studies, ACTS, and ACTS . and others.
Church I attend:
We are Home Missionaries, but I am Pianist at Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, and we help out other home mission churches (Pentecostal).
College I attended (this is for networking purposes):
Hutchinson Community College and Freed Hardeman University
Hobbies/Interests
Pac man, Bookworm on computer. Yahoo answers (R&S), Podcasting, sewing (t-shirt dresses, jumpers, purses and totes), fashion design (especially coulture), quilting, cloth dolls, aprons, handmade books, mixed media everything (collages, books, ATC's, paper dolls), teaching music lessons, writing (poetry, songs, melodramas, puppet skits, short stories), making things with fabric yo yo's, herb garden, etc. I want to start making musical instruments especially the Tennessee music box and Lap Dulcimers. LOVE anything made with wood. My husband has came up with a name for his woodshop whenever he gets one... it will be "Wood You Believe".

I have been praying that God would give me the gift of healing. I am a strong believer in the power of prayer and I want God to use me to pray for the sick and they get instant healing. Not for my glory - but to the glory of God. It is by His stripes that we are healed!

My girls and I got the Cricut Expression for Christmas 2008. Yeah! (Now I need to learn how to use it. LOL)

I am working on my digital photo albumWal-mart.com albums , try to play "Have I Told You" on the Lap Dulcimer , "Morning Has Broken" on the guitar , "Hallelujah" on the violin and sing "Alabaster Box" for my vocal exercise . I also do 25 toe touches and 25 windmill exercises. And I try to work on a little embroidery , if at all possible. I need to get back to my eating healthy regime . I plan on writing a book called "Tune Up To Tone Up With Tuna, Salmon and Eggs".

I am writing a book or sequels of short stories about my experiences in the music ministry. It will be called Melody's Song. Publishamerica has accepted to publish this for me, but I haven't submitted it yet, as I am still polishing it from my nanowrimo Novel experience in 2008. I am debating on if I should pubish it in my boring name Lisa Anne Peter, or use this pen name Karen Samantha Lorraine. I hope to get it published this year. (2009). It is based on my life, but has a whole lot of fiction and color added to it. Melody is a single woman in her thirties... she is very consumed with music and her songwriting. there is some romance involved but the main focus is her music.
Business/Trades
PenTEENcostal Fashion and Design, Star Of Song Studios (I teach keyboard, guitar, dulcimer, voice and sign language lessons), 4-T Fashions (I started this enterprise endeavor when I turned Four- Ty), Educational Interpreter for the Deaf, Missionary to shut-ins and the elderly in my community, etc.

My Penny Stories

If you want to know why I have a Penny as my photo on EA.... it is because lately I keep on finding pennies in unusual places. These are a sign from God that He knows about my financial needs and He is my provider.

Here are some of my stories:

Exciting news!

Yesterday, the country missionary Baptist church that I am pianst for on Sunday mornings, had a fellowship dinner and church members/attendee's meeting. The church has a new assosiate pastor and he is looking for changes and advancements being made. He was asking for suggestions and I mentioned that we needed to start having prayer meetings. Not just where the minister prayed out loud and everyone else prayed silently, but where everyone could pray out loud and not worry about what other people… Continue

January 17, 2009

He promised that He would never leave us, nor forsake us! Our God is forever faithful and true. Without HIM I could do nothing.
I am finding it hard to believe that it is already the middle of January. I can already forsee that this year is going to go by in a blurr of frenzied flurry. I didn't set any resolutions for the year, but I do have goals. BIG goals, that I can only accomplish with the aid of God almighty and through His guidence.
I want more than anything to take my family on a mission… Continue

I enjoy your songs. We're going to church in Ok. There were lots of visitors Easter Sunday. Do you know if Martha Poling is still going to church with your parents? The last time I sent her a card I didn't hear back from her and that's been a long time.
