"Women"

I've written more about the female gender than anything else in my life...mostly because I'm in love with "WOMEN". Yes, I know the politically correct thing to say is that I'm in love with A (1) woman...and someday I will. I have many female friends (not dating friends...just close) that are soooooooo dear to me, leaving some not understanding how that can be. You see...women are the greatest gift God gave to man. They are sensitive, caring, delicate, fascinating creatures. I often have wondered why God has blessed us guys so much this way!! Quite often I take a lot of flack because I care for so many and haven't chosen just one to devote all my attention to...so please allow me to explain why I love women so much...lol

* Only a woman can pour hot wax on her upper thighs...attach a cloth adhesive...and tear off the hair without a whimper, then turn around and scream when she sees a 'lil mouse scurry across the room...LOL

* Only a woman will completely clean her house 3 hours before she drives herself to the hospital and delivers her children.

* Only a woman can see past the rough exterior and look deep into a man's soul and still love him with all his faults.

* Only a woman can work all day at a secular job, come home and do all the "housework", prepare a hot meal, then call her doofus husband from the recliner to eat before he waddles off to bed leaving her to clean up all the mess.

Ladies, look into the mirror and see what I have always seen. the one single thing that keeps most families together...the glue, the thread, the duct tape that binds a family. I know many single women don't see that in themselves right now...but it won't always be that way. Someday you WILL be all these things...and more...in a marriage.

I know many of you have gone through difficult times. Be careful that you don't become bitter or discouraged. God is a God of deliverence...a God of answered prayers. Whatever your situation, God has an answer...a response...a reply...an acknowlegement. He knows your heart and more than anything He wants a healing for you. Let Him heal your heart and dry your tears. You are wonderful...you are "Woman"...a thrilling gift to me and my fellow men!!!

"Time"

Time is slipping by so quickly...for some more quickly than others. All too often we hear of someone we know that is taken by death...often tragically and far too young. It's something that happens world wide every day...but we are made aware of it when it hits close to home.

Recently several that I knew from 4 months to 55 years to 71 years died in unusual ways. The 4 month old died suddenly...apparently from SIDS. The mid 50s hunter was found by his beloved tree stand after an artery closed up leaving him helpless and alone in the woods he so adored. The 71 year old farmer died by assassins bullets hired by his younger wife. 3 to his chest and 3 to his head...leaving him lying face down in his chicken house for other family members to find.

Time has stood still for these 3 and only God himself knows the fate of the 2 adults. Tell me...if time stood still for you @ this moment where would you spend eternity? It's a question often asked but seldom acknowledged because we are young, vibrant, healthy people that expect to always draw another breath.

Think and don't delay. Time is short and eternity for YOU may be close at hand.

Tick...tock...tick...tock...tick...tock.

"Friends"

Recently I had a dear friend say something that stunned me. Her words were, "I don't have any friends...and no one to do anything with." For quite some time I have pondered that thought...and asked myself, how would I handle not having friends?

Granted, over the years, I've met and made many friends from all over. There has even been times when I have wondered how I was going to find time for everyone. For me to think I could be friendless and spend all my time alone or just with my children is… Continue

"The Wait" A fictional short story.

Ever so gently he reached out his work weary hand to touch her's, but as always she didn't move or even flinch as his rough skin covered her frail fingers. For the last 7 days he'd refused to leave her side as she lay there motionless. All the hardship of his past couldn't begin to compare to the emotional fatigue he was experiencing now. As he sat there his mind raced through all the times she'd asked him to go to church with her...and he'd always found other things, more important to do. Reali… Continue

"The Creatures and their Prey"

Over the past 16 years they ALL have fallen. One by one, as dedicated soldiers to their cause, they were sought out and taken. Slowly and methodically the creatures that sought them out, used every avenue, method, and means available to them to conquer. You would think that being taken captive would be something unwanted and unsettling...but no...to the contrary. This is a strange phenomena that even science can not adequately define or explain...but it happens every day to the unsuspecting. The… Continue

"Writing your feelings"

It's funny how our emotions govern how and what we write. More often than we want to believe, our deep rooted feelings come out when we sit and put our thoughts on to paper. It's something about putting concise objective words in black and white and enables us to read and re-read them that allow ourselves to see what is REALLY going on inside.

For instance...when you're crazy in love with someone, all you tend to write about is what they mean to you. You can write things like,
"She is the starl… Continue

"Shopping for Shoes"

This is something I wrote in 2002 in three segments...and have added a new ending after the Shopping for Shoes 3. Hope you enjoy!!!!

When you need clothes you go to the clothing store. When you need groceries you go to the grocery store. So why is it that many singles that don't want to be single, shy away from singles events (where one God, Apostolic singles would be)? Hummmmmmmmm?

Most singles don't desire to live alone for the rest of their lives. It seems as though some 20 or 30 couples ha… Continue

GOD BLESSED ME! By: Debra Hearn Jones-3-12-10

God is on time, and recently blessed me in a way , That still makes me feel like I am walking on Air. This is a story about Love, worthiness, and learning to trust, Jesus first and man second. It is also about being released from a life long bondage of hate. I share this for His Glory! My Lord and Savior , Jesus!

The Gift of Life Can Be a Battle

In our lives, we may face many difficult challenges. Situations that demand our immediate attention. Sometimes we become so overwhelmed with troubles in our world, that we easily forget about this blessing called life! If a person is not careful, they will only focus on the bad, and forget the good in their world! Learn to see the beauty that is in life, take a good look at what you do have in this life of yours. This will help you through the battle's that do come in this life of ours.

Take Up Your Bed and Walk!

Has life dealt you a stinky mess? Maybe it is time you took up your bed and walked!

Can You Believe Him for the Glory?

We don't have a hard time believing God for the past, we have seen and heard. We don't have time believing God for the present, we know He can do it. We don't have a hard time believing Him for the future we believe His Word and that He will. However, we do have a hard time believing that the test we are facing can bring Glory to God...

Church Leaders: What Are We Building

Why is one the biggest problem of the church today retention? I have heard of wonderful evangelistic events that have resulted in many being born again: yet a short time later, these people cannot be found. To me, this is a problem. Maybe it has to do with what we are building?
