Praise the Lord !
My husband is pretty much open to exploring better employment opportunities at the time. He's been doing warehousing (in a production/manufacturing environment ) work for over 11 years, but he's not too thrilled about that. Right now he works @ a glass distribution company. He wants and he desires something more challenging and with better pay. Just pray that the Lord's favor would be upon Him and that his current manager would promote him to maybe a clerical position in the warehouse, I think he'd be better off doing something else for a change. Or any advice/help you may have to offer will be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for the post...may God bless everyone on here and your efforts, my prayers are with you all...

Hello Bro & Sis Adame

I would be glad to help in any way that I can. First and foremost I will be praying and agreeing that the Lord will guide you and give you favor. If you are able, could you forward a resume of his. Thanks so much. I look forward to talking with both of you further....

God Bless,

I am sorry it took me soooo long to reply...uploading my husband's resume somehow slipped my mind. It's not very easy to remember everything with 4 little ones running around the house all day. To be honest, he hasn't updated it in a while but his overall skills are included. I want to thank you in advance.

God bless you

I the Con-Way in Humboldt near you. If so try calling them directly. Oh, check on Monster.com under the location of Jackson, TN and the job description of Customer Service you should find it that way. I hope this helps. I will be back on later tonight. Let me know how it went...

Yes I did and I would suggest a little refinement. Did you contact that person via his email?

Praise the Lord Sis Holly. What I meant was minor things. I am sending an example to your personal email. Please let me know if that helps...

Bro Hugh, this is very good advice. I have learned this approach in the staffing / recruiting business. Sometimes the HR (Human Resource) contact isn't always the person to talk to. I have noticed they are kind of like the middle person between the actual hiring manager and the people that are hired. The 100 contacts is a very good technique. Please come to my EA if you wish as a friend...

God Bless

Just wanted to say how awesome of you to do this!!! What do you think of a husband switching jobs/careers at age 43? My husband has been with the same company (a lumber mill) and worked his way from the bottom to the top over the last 18 1/2 years. There is nowhere else to advance to except supervision (w/ no higher salary as he is making hourly). I have told him it's entirely up to him and the Lord but he's been looking into a position as a field safety man w/ an oilfield company. He now works Mon - Fri two weeks on the day shift and then two weeks on the night shift. The new position would be seven on, seven off with a pay increase and the company would allow family to go with him at times when he's on his on work week. The new position is his when it comes open as a family member has pull but we're just unsure if it's a wise choice to change careers and start over at this stage in life. Thanks for advice and prayer!!

Sis Reba. It sounds like your husband has quite an opportunity. I also realize the value of playing it safe. We will be lifting you up in prayer. In terms of reason and logic maybe make a list and weigh out the pro's and con's for each situation. First to stay where he is at and second to move on to the new opportunity. May the Lord Bless you and yours...

SIncerely,

Bro Jeff & Sis Karen

GOD BLESSED ME! By: Debra Hearn Jones-3-12-10

God is on time, and recently blessed me in a way , That still makes me feel like I am walking on Air. This is a story about Love, worthiness, and learning to trust, Jesus first and man second. It is also about being released from a life long bondage of hate. I share this for His Glory! My Lord and Savior , Jesus!

The Gift of Life Can Be a Battle

In our lives, we may face many difficult challenges. Situations that demand our immediate attention. Sometimes we become so overwhelmed with troubles in our world, that we easily forget about this blessing called life! If a person is not careful, they will only focus on the bad, and forget the good in their world! Learn to see the beauty that is in life, take a good look at what you do have in this life of yours. This will help you through the battle's that do come in this life of ours.

Take Up Your Bed and Walk!

Has life dealt you a stinky mess? Maybe it is time you took up your bed and walked!

Can You Believe Him for the Glory?

We don't have a hard time believing God for the past, we have seen and heard. We don't have time believing God for the present, we know He can do it. We don't have a hard time believing Him for the future we believe His Word and that He will. However, we do have a hard time believing that the test we are facing can bring Glory to God...

Church Leaders: What Are We Building

Why is one the biggest problem of the church today retention? I have heard of wonderful evangelistic events that have resulted in many being born again: yet a short time later, these people cannot be found. To me, this is a problem. Maybe it has to do with what we are building?
